Scottish heather is a low growing evergreen shrub that can be found in the Highlands of Scotland. Historically, it was used to make thatched roofs and rope and it’s often associated with good luck.
Sugar maples can be found in Canada and the northern US. The tree's leaf is the symbol of Canada and they produce one of the country's most iconic foods: maple syrup. While maple syrup is often thought of as an autumn treat, it’s actually harvested in the spring.
