Hello Everyone! I'm Stephanie. I work at Ademe- it’s a French environmental agency. I’m an Engineer Expert in recycling and I’ve worked at Ademe for four years. Today, I will talk about the rate of plastic decomposition.
I would like to talk about the rate of plastic decomposition. I shall begin with plastics that take the longest to decompose. Firstly, you can see on the right of the chart styrofoam, bottles, and bags that take between 10-1000 years to decompose. After that, in the middle of the chart there is fishing gear and diapers. We can say that the rate of decomposition for the other products was fast in comparison.
In conclusion, I think we should reduce the production of styrofoam, bottles, and bags to reduce waste.
